Big Event Super Bowl in not something new to New Orleans. The resilient people of New Orleans has been the past venue of 9 Super Bowl championship games since 2001. What makes this year's Super Bowl momentous is that this will be the first Super Bowl after Hurricane Katrina ravaged this southeast corner of the state of Louisiana in 2005. On Feb. 3, the Top Guns of the AFC Conference, the Baltimore Ravens, will meet the NFC Conference Champions, the Atlanta Falcons in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. It is expected that the game will be as tremendous as the 2002 Super Bowl XXXVI, when New Orleans also hosted it after the 9/11 attacks. What makes this year's Super Bowl even bigger is that the opposing teams are being coached by brothers--the Harbaugh's, Jim and John. The brothers will be squaring it off against each other on Game Day, now dubbed as the "Harbaugh Bowl".

Louisiana Superdome becomes Mecedes-Benz Superdome
The Louisiana Superdome was a shelter to thousands of displaced residents whose homes were destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. The 37-year old building, which is also commonly referred to as the "Living Room", has a strong bond with the locals. It is a prominent structure, and you can see it wherever part of the city you are in at. It is not an event, if it is not held in at the Dome. In 2011, the naming rights to the Dome was purchased by the German car manufacturer, Mercedez-Benz. On October 23, 2011, the new name, Mercedes-Benz Superdome, took effect. The local residents have no problem with the change of name, since the colloquial word "Superdome" was still retained.
